Wyoming's Energy Future

Hi << Test First Name >>,

My name is Quin Blair, and I'm running for the Wyoming House of Representatives in District 24.

Energy development and production are hallmarks of Wyoming's past and the key to its future. We can build that future in a way that creates opportunity, strengthens our communities, and benefits every Wyoming family.

Energy in Wyoming

Energy is not some outside industry to us. It is part of Wyoming’s foundation, and it remains central to Wyoming’s future. That is why votes on energy matter. During the 2026 legislative session, Wyoming had a chance to stand up for energy dominance. SF0123, the Wyoming Energy Dominance Fund, passed the House 44–16. And Park County’s current representative voted no.

I think voters deserve to know that, because when Wyoming energy is on the line, Park County should not be represented by someone standing with the 16 no votes. Energy policy should be practical, not ideological. Wyoming should defend the industries that built this state, fight back against federal overreach, support innovation that keeps us competitive, and make sure the resources developed here return real value to the people who live here.

I believe in an all-of-the-above energy strategy, but not all-of-the-above for free. Coal, oil, gas, uranium, nuclear, renewables, transmission, carbon capture, critical minerals, and new technology all have a role to play if they make Wyoming stronger. That includes renewable energy. Wyoming should not be hostile to responsible renewable development, but we should not be naive either. If a company is going to use Wyoming’s wind, sun, land, roads, workforce, and transmission corridors, Wyoming taxpayers deserve a fair return. Responsible development should create Wyoming jobs, support local communities, contribute to schools and public services, and strengthen our long-term economy.

Wyoming should lead. We should not apologize for producing the energy America needs, and we should not give away our resources without making sure certain Wyoming workers, Wyoming communities, and Wyoming taxpayers benefit.

My commitment is simple: energy dominance on Wyoming’s terms, for Wyoming’s future. That is the kind of legislator I intend to be.

I would be honored to earn your vote on August 18.

Best,

Quin Blair
